MidmoPigskin’s Chili

 

Ingredients

 

-          1 to 1½ lbs ground beef

-          ½ to 1 lb pork sausage (hot)

-          1 chili brick

-          3 – 15 oz cans diced tomatoes

-          1 large can Brooks Hot Chili Beans

-          ½ cup cut green peppers

-          Diced onions

-          Dash of lemon peel

-          Dash of chili powder

-          Dash of garlic salt

-          Dash of celery seed

-          Dash of Cajun seasoning

 

Directions

 

-          In a large pot, cook the ground beef and pork sausage together.  Break apart (crumbled).  Drain cooked meat into a strainer.

-          While meat sits in the strainer, pour the chili brick into same large pot and add a ½ cup of water.  Allow brick to dissolve.

-          Pour meat from strainer back into the pot, add chili beans (strained), add 3 cans of diced tomatoes, add onions, green peppers, seasoning and mix thoroughly.

-          Allow to cook over a medium heat for 30 minutes.

-          Stir and Serve.
